MAJLIS BODY BLOCKS TOTEM EDITION BY DAVINA ATALLAH AT WE DESIGN BEIRUT

At Villa Audi in Beirut, for the exhibition Totems of the Present and the Absent curated by Gatserelia Design, designer Davina Atallah unveils the new Majlis Body Blocks. Totems Edition — a stunning evolution of her modular, stackable floor cushions inspired by ancient Mesopotamian forms. Soft, sculptural, and inviting, these large-scale cushions echo the majlis, a traditional gathering space where generations meet and exchange ideas. Designed for play and connection, they invite users to build, stack, and reshape — reclaiming what was lost through erasure and reimagining identity through creativity. Crafted in water-repellent, stain-resistant fabrics and filled with shredded foam, each piece can be customized by size, color, and texture for both indoor and outdoor use. Majlis Body Blocks. Totems Edition blurs the line between design and ritual — turning memory, culture, and play into living forms.
