YUUGU BY NAOTO FUKUSAWA & JACKUETS

With YUUGU, Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa, redefines the idea of a playground, transforming a familiar architectural shape into a poetic space for play and imagination. Created in collaboration with Jakuets, a Japanese company dedicated to designing environments for early childhood since 1916, YUUGU blurs the line between sculpture, design, and play structure. The work appears like a small house — calm, minimal, and beautifully proportioned — yet its form bends and folds, inviting children to climb, slide, and explore. Every curve is designed with sensitivity to both aesthetics and movement, creating a quiet dialogue between body and space. At unduetrestella, we love how YUUGU embodies the essence of Fukasawa’s “Without Thought” philosophy: design that feels natural, intuitive, and alive. It reminds us that even the simplest form can become a landscape of wonder when seen through the eyes of a child.
