Every January in Ischgl, the slopes of the Silvretta Arena turn into an open-air gallery with Shapes in White, the iconic international snow sculpture competition. In 2026 edition, a total of ten teams of artists reinterpret the theme “LEGO® meets Sports” into monumental snow sculptures, transforming the alpine landscape into a creative fusion of design, winter sport and imagination. The top prize went to the Italian team Armin Rifesser and Ivan Holzknecht for their playful toboggan sculpture Winter Fun in Ischgl.
A unique blend of creativity and alpine winter spirit, Shapes in White is a standout cultural highlight in the Austrian Alps each winter — especially for fans of art, sport, and LEGO®-inspired imagination.
