The Palma collection by Kusheda Mensah reimagines seating as a social and sculptural experience. Designed for the Scandinavian brand Hem, the series features soft, organic poufs inspired by natural forms and the human body.
Made of three modular shapes, Palma seats are designed to encourage people to gather, sit close, and interact. Their rounded forms invite different ways of sitting—perching, lounging, or leaning—turning furniture into a catalyst for conversation and connection. Upholstered in rich textiles such as bouclé, Kvadrat fabrics, or leather, each piece balances tactile comfort with bold visual presence. Whether used individually or combined into larger compositions, the poufs act as both seating and playful sculptural elements within a space.
With Palma, Mensah explores how design can shape human interaction—transforming furniture from a passive object into an invitation to gather, connect, and share space.
