A Shared Realm — A Collectively Constructed Space is an art project initiated by artist Eugene Lisniak for children with experiences of forced displacement, developed in Düsseldorf in 2026.
The project explores the idea of home not as a place that has been lost, but as an inner space of safety, memory and belonging that can be rebuilt. Personal memories, images and cultural symbols become the materials for creating a new shared visual world connecting past, present and future.
Following the principle of “one project, different tools,” each participant chooses the medium that best expresses their ideas. Their individual works are then brought together through exhibition design to create one collective installation — a shared realm made of different voices and forms of expression.
The project was financially supported by Kulturamt der Landeshauptstadt Düsseldorf and realised in cooperation with Erinnerungsort Alter Schlachthof.
