RADA LEWIS, illustator How is your bed? I have a wooden cot and a gramophone next to it. I listen to Pinocchio. There is a Polish Beatles poster on the wall infront of the bed. Which kind of meal you do not like? I hate anything with garlic and onion in it. And your favourite? I like plain yogurt with crushed bicuits and love the hard to find then in Bulgaria Kindereggs. Your favorite book to read? Afrikan tales illustrated by Maraya. Have you got an imaginary friend? No. I am a lonely queen on an imaginary background.
Eggirl is a textless book by Rada Lewis which can be viewed front to back, or back to front. It shows how a girl was "born" from an egg – either from the mum's tummy or from a hen's egg.
"This is because Every woman has got a hen inside as my young daughter once said upon hearing that babies develop from an egg" told me Rada.
