Paparajote Factory began in a Mediterranean city, from the hands of Pilar Larrotcha and Sonia de la Iglesia. These products are developed based on the simple thought of making you happier by touching textiles which recall comfort, warmth elegance and quality. The name Paparajote comes from a traditional Murcian dessert made from a lemon tree leaf dipped in batter, deep fried and covered with sugar and cinnamon. The dough is then eaten hot while the lemon leaf is being thrown away.

In the white room of Palazzo Mocenigo, until the 10th of April 2016, The Alchemy of Colour: a “journey” through the different natural dying techniques of textiles. The exhibition, while explaining one of our first technological enterprise, reveals how human evolution, both cultural and economical and scientific advancement have always gone hand in hand. Curated by Stefano Panconesi, Sissi Castellano, Chiara Squarcina and Augusto Panini the display presents primary materials and products of the dyeing process. Mainly base textiles and hanks, they are the result of a natural process created using a colour palette derived from natural colours- roots, stems, bark, leaves, flowers, fruits and some insects- from witch the original pigments are obtained: yellow, red, blue, orange, green and purple.

PETALOSO
It's a nice story! Sorry it works only for Italians!
A young pupil named Matteo, attending the primary school of Copparo faced with a task assigned by the teacher on adjectives! He wrote that a flower was " petaloso " . The teacher decided to send the new word at the Accademia della Crusca for evaluation. And the Accademia said YES, PETALOSO is a well-formed-word and could be used in Italian! There are other Italian words formed in the same way: for example "peloso" (pelo+oso), "coraggioso" (coraggio +oso).
I love PETALOSO. And do not forget the #petaloso
