HAPPY EPIPHANY! HAPPY GALETTE DES ROIS

The Galette des Rois is a fantastic cake (and game!) to prepare on January the 6, the Christian holy day called Epiphany (when the 3 wise men visit to baby Jesus). The tradition of serving the Galette des Rois, a puff pastry tart, comes from France and can be traced back to the 14th century. A small porcelain figurine (la fève) is baked inside the cake and whoever receives the little favor is then crowned king/queen for the day. It's easy to preparare: here above you find the ingredients and add readymade puff pastry !

DELLEBOLLARNA!

Dellebollar are kind of small forest spirits who usually live in their moss balls. Dellebollar asleep most of the time, but do not let appearances deceive! They are always on guard and ready to listen to secrets, console and spread happiness, and when awake they are driven by a mad curiosity!
These fur balls are super cute ornaments created in Sweden with love by Jenny Dellemyr. They can be hang on the wall, used as dreamcatchers, put in the car or wherever you need a little buddy to keep you company. Dellebollar is also a wonderful welcome-to-world-gift.
Each of these small creatures are handmade and therefore unique!
AMAZING!

Mum & Dad Factory

Mum and Dad Factory is a French company founded in 2012 by Clotilde Le Théo and Laetitia Olsak. Together, they make the bold gamble to offer parents an alternative to traditional furniture for children. The first project was the Mini lit, that adapts to the shape of babies. Then, they design the Toddler bed, which is very low and promotes the autonomy of the child. Recently, they create the Bench table, a versatile piece of furniture that can be use as a child desk or as an adult seat.
All their creations meets with simplicity, uniqueness and practicality and also promotes the use of quality materials exclusively manufactured by European partners, committed to decent work practices and environmental standards.
WE TOTALLY LOVE THEM!

Studio ROOF

Studio ROOF was launched in 2005 (as Kidsonroof) by Romy and Ilya together with their three children. Their inspiration has always been the beauty of childhood, the imagination, nature, peoples of the world, art and craftsmanship, and the urge to create, and to unfold a new imagery. In 2013, alongside the paper products, there suddenly appeared a small collection of furniture. The roof had become too small, the studio had grown and Studio ROOF was born.
Studio ROOF now produces two collections: the Paper Creative Collection with paper 3D
objects, toys, and paperware for ALL ages, and the Living Collection, which consists of home accessories and furniture. The imagination is always the motive behind the two collections.
SOO BEAUTIFUL!!!

Giovelab is also a dream, a place in the woods where nature silently transgresses beyond its boundaries and lets flowers blossom in cups and tiny animals rest on serving dishes. Giovelab "art de la table" creates poetic, imperfect and joyful objects to soften our everyday lives. Everyday objects mingle gracefully with dreamy artistic concepts, to achieve a unique emotional mix.

ICE WATCH

During the 2015 United Nations Climate Summit in Paris the artist OLAFUR ELIASSON, in collaboration with the geologist Minik Rosing, has launched the public artwork Ice Watch at the Place du Panthéon. It aims to encourage public action against climate change at COP21. Let’s appreciate this unique opportunity – we, the world, can and must act now. Let’s transform climateknowledgeinto climate action. As an artist I hope my works touch people, which in turn can make something that may have previously seemed quite abstract more a reality. Art has the ability to change our perceptions and perspectives on the world, and Ice Watch makes the climate challenges we are facing tangible. I hope it will inspire shared commitment to taking climate
action,
Olafur Eliasson said.

I QUADERNINI DI MILANO

I QUADERNINI DI MILANO, from November 26th to December 9th, 9am - 5pm, free entrance,  SPAZIO EX FORNACE, Alzaia Naviglio Pavese 16, Milan.

How many things an old school notebook can tell you? Many! The notebooks, infact, can contain fragments of the lives of their young authors, and are important documents, not only to learn about the past and the history of education, but also to understand the psychology of the children who filled the pages. For the first time the cultural association Quaderni Aperti shows part of the collection that counts over 600 books dating from the the nineteenth century till today, from all over Italy, especially from Milan.
Some of the notebooks exhibited have been (almost) fully reproduced from the paper mill Arbos, others can be consulted digitally navigating among the 1000 images of the digital collection of Quaderni Aperti.  I quadernini di Milano is not just an exhibition: in the two weeks of exposure will be made readings, workshops for schools, meetings and also an "exhibition inside the exhibition". Consult the full program here
AMAZING JOB!

GLÖW BE KIND

glöw be kind is a very nice brand from Argentina.  The idea is to design products to provide solutions to the new needs that come with raising children. The brand focuses on practicality, quality and multifunctionality needed in everyday life. The aim is to simplify the beautiful (and exhausting!) task of being parents. For example the cradle CUNA can be transformed over the time into a bed, giving the kid independence to get on and off preventing falls that may occur.
glöw's products are made in Argentina, ensuring fair work conditions for all those involved in their realization. The design is simple and clean, and use fine materials with excellent quality.
SUPER!
